Mike's broadcast career began in the early 1970's as Top 40 radio was winding down. While still in high school, Mike worked for the powerhouse WENE in upstate New York. Mike moved on to working the Country formatted WKOP then WNYR in Rochester, NY. With AM radio in it's last gasps, Mike was asked to turn a Beautiful music FM station in his hometown into the now legendary Country WHWK, The Hawk. It took five years to build the station into a million dollar property. Mike acheived his goal of making it the number one station with adults, 25-54.
In 1989, Mike and family moved to the sunny coast of North Carolina and worked in Jacksonville/Camp Lejune and Wilmington. After years of being the number one personality in afternoon drive, Mike signed off one last time in 1996. Today, he works as a Coordinator for Verizon Wireless and continues to do his voice overs as a creative outlet.
